While waiting to see the doctor, i discovered that my portable oxygen had stopped working. I had two fully charged batteries. I could not get it to work. I told the receptionist at the desk that as soon as the doctor was in, that I had to be seen. I have COPD and oxygen dependent 24/7. I was taken right in and the nurse recognized I was not ok. She got a pulse-ox and put it on my finger. Dr. G came in the room instead of making me go to his office. Since my Pulmonologist is in the hospital, the nurse took me to his office where I was given a tank of oxygen. i assured them that as soon as I got to my car, I would put the air conditioner on and make it the five minute drive to my home where my large machine would be. The nurse said she would call me at home to make sure I was OK. She did the follow-up call I cannot say enough about the professional staff that this physician has. Doctor G is so accommodating and speaks to his patients with a genuine concern.

Very informative consultation. Next thing to do are labs and a swallow eval.
