Moving Forward

We hope this message finds you all safe and healthy. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time – we couldn’t value our patients more and we’re excited to continue serving you.

**Following the guidance of Governor Cuomo, our offices will be
opening with appropriate precautions on Monday, May 18th.**

We are all excited to get back to doing what we love, with our wonderful patients and team. But one thing is clear: it won’t be, it can’t be, business as usual for the safety of society, our patients and our team.

Here are a few safeguards that will be in place when
we re-open on May 18th:

✓ Our office will require that everyone wear a mask during their appointment. If you don’t have one, the staff will provide you with one.

✓ Your temperature will be taken by an MA OUTSIDE before being allowed to move forward with your scheduled appointment.  **Please note: your covid checklist must be received back in our office 2 days prior to scheduled appointment or you will not be seen.

✓ Patient appointments will be spaced out so that you can be brought directly back to the exam room after entering our office and having your temperature checked. **Please note: our doors will be locked- there will be no entry into our office unless escorted by Advanced Surgeons staff

✓ Only the patient or person consulting is allowed in the office during their scheduled time. All other guests must wait in the parking lot.

✓ All of our staff will be wearing masks during consultations and treatments.

✓ We will screen our consults and patients before their visit to our office – confirming they are not experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as fever, cough, and loss of taste or smell before they leave home to come to their appointment.

✓ The elective surgery ban has not been lifted, therefore, surgeries cannot be scheduled yet.  Once approved,  We will resume our surgery schedule in our accredited operating rooms while also screening our patients with the appropriate tests before their procedure.  A Surgical coordinator will be intouch with you when we are allowed to perform surgeries to go over what steps need to be taken prior to going to the OR.

You may **NOT** schedule an in-person appointment if you:

✓ Have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past two weeks.

✓ Have a fever of 100.4 or higher.
✓ Are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (those listed above).

Based on recommendations by the country’s foremost experts, a complete return to normalcy via a vaccine or herd immunity, may take at least 18 months.

We will be instituting the above protocols until it is no longer necessary, out of the safety for our patients, team, and community. Virtual consultations will still be offered and are encouraged!
